Stop Compromising. Start Brewing Cold Brew The Way It Was Meant To Taste.
Most people making cold brew at home are using the wrong coffee. Not bad coffee — just coffee that was never designed for cold extraction. Medium roast pour-over beans. Single-origin drip coffee. Espresso blends. These are extraordinary coffees for the methods they were built for. Put them in a cold brew pitcher and steep them for 12 hours, and you will get a result — but not the result you were hoping for. Weak in body, inconsistent in strength, often bitter at the notes you wanted most.
Cold brew has a simple secret: it needs its own coffee.
Brewed Battles Cold Brew Coffee is the only coffee in our lineup built exclusively for cold extraction — a dark French roast blend, coarse ground to the precise size that optimizes 12–24 hour cold steeping, and specifically developed through cold brew testing (not hot brew guesswork) to deliver the smoothest, richest, most satisfying cold brew concentrate you have ever made at home.
Perfect cold brew coffee. Every time. No guesswork. No compromise. Just coffee.

🔬 WHY COLD BREW NEEDS ITS OWN COFFEE — THE EXTRACTION SCIENCE
THE PROBLEM WITH USING REGULAR COFFEE FOR COLD BREW
Cold water extracts coffee differently than hot water — fundamentally, chemically, and measurably differently. Hot water (195–205°F) extracts coffee's soluble compounds rapidly — in 3–5 minutes for pour over, 25 seconds for espresso. The extraction is broad: fruit acids, floral aromatics, bitter compounds, sweet sugars, and roast flavors all dissolve quickly and in the full spectrum the roaster intended.
Cold water extracts far more slowly and far more selectively. Over 12–24 hours of steeping, cold water preferentially extracts certain compounds — the heavier, oil-based aromatic compounds, the darker roast sugars, and the dense, concentrated flavor molecules — while leaving behind many of the lighter, more volatile compounds (including many of the acids and bitter compounds that create harshness in hot brew) largely unextracted.
The result of cold extraction done correctly: a naturally sweeter, naturally smoother, dramatically less acidic concentrate than any hot-brewed coffee can produce. A concentrate so smooth it can be drunk over ice without milk and found genuinely satisfying. A concentrate that holds for two weeks in the refrigerator and improves as it chills.
THE PROBLEM: Cold water also extracts far more slowly and far less forcefully than hot water. If the coffee is too fine a grind, the water cannot circulate properly and over-extracts in concentrated zones — creating bitterness and muddiness. If the roast is too light or medium, the heavy aromatic compounds that cold water extracts best are less developed, and the result lacks the body and richness that makes cold brew extraordinary.
THE BREWED BATTLES SOLUTION:
Dark French Roast: The deepest roast development means the aromatic compounds that cold water extracts best — dark caramel, chocolate, brown sugar — are fully developed and maximally accessible to cold extraction. French roast brings out the natural oils and concentrated sugars that become extraordinarily smooth and rich in cold form.
Extra Coarse Grind: The coarse particle size ensures that water circulates freely around each piece during the full 12–24 hour steep, extracting evenly and completely without channeling, without muddiness, and without over-extraction of any single zone. The result is a clean, clear, smooth concentrate with no grounds in the final cup.
Specifically Blended for Cold: The origins selected for this blend were chosen and combined based on their cold extraction character — not their hot brew profile. Some origins that are extraordinary as hot coffee extract poorly cold. Some that are merely good as hot coffee become exceptional cold. This blend was built by testing the cold result, not the hot result. The cup in your glass is the product.

🏅 WHO IS BREWED BATTLES COLD BREW COFFEE FOR?
The Home Cold Brew Maker Who Has Been Disappointed:
You have tried making cold brew at home. You followed the recipes. You steeped for 12 hours, 18 hours, 24 hours. The result was fine — occasionally good — but never the smooth, rich, dark, satisfying concentrate you get from a coffee shop or a canned cold brew. What you did not know is that the coffee you were using was never designed for what you were asking it to do. This is. The disappointing results are over.
The Cold Brew Daily Drinker:
You drink cold brew every day. You buy it from the coffee shop, from the grocery store cold case, or from canned brands that cost $4–$6 per serving. You have done the math and it does not add up — but you have not found a home cold brew solution that matches what you are paying for outside. Brewed Battles Cold Brew Coffee makes the home cold brew you have been buying outside. Better. At a fraction of the cost.
The Low-Acid Coffee Seeker:
You love coffee but your stomach does not always agree. Hot coffee's acidity — the result of hot extraction pulling the lighter, more volatile acids from the bean — creates a digestive response that can range from mild discomfort to genuinely limiting how much coffee you drink. Cold brew's naturally low acid profile is the solution: cold extraction leaves the harsh acids largely unextracted, producing a concentrate that is estimated to be 67% less acidic than hot-brewed coffee. For the acid-sensitive coffee lover, cold brew is not a preference — it is a revelation.
The Iced Coffee Perfectionist:
You do not want hot coffee poured over ice — that watery, diluted compromise that most "iced coffee" menus are actually serving. You want cold brew — made cold from the start, concentrated to survive the ice, and smooth enough to drink without help. This coffee gives you that result at home, every time, without ordering it from somewhere else.
The Meal Prep & Batch Coffee Maker:
You are a planner. You set up your week on Sunday and you want your coffee ready when you are — not requiring a fresh brew every morning. Two weeks of cold brew concentrate in the refrigerator means your morning coffee is 30 seconds away for the entire fortnight. Scoop. Steep. Refrigerate. Done. Welcome to effortless cold brew mornings.
The Fitness & Wellness Coffee Drinker:
Cold brew has become the preferred coffee delivery format for the fitness and wellness community for three specific reasons: lower acidity (easier on the digestive system pre- and post-workout), concentrated caffeine delivery (a 1:1 diluted cold brew concentrate delivers more caffeine per ounce than standard drip coffee), and zero additives (pure coffee, no syrups, no artificial ingredients). Brewed Battles Cold Brew Coffee is 100% coffee, zero additives, maximum extraction. The fitness community's coffee.
The Barista and Café Owner Seeking Wholesale Cold Brew Supply:
You serve cold brew. You either brew it in-house or buy it pre-made. A specifically blended, dark French roast, coarse ground cold brew coffee from a specialty roaster gives your cold brew program a quality and story that generic restaurant supply house coffee cannot match. "Brewed Battles Cold Brew Coffee — specifically blended for cold extraction" on your menu is a differentiator. And at wholesale quantities, the economics are exceptional.

💡 THE 67% LESS ACID SCIENCE — WHY COLD BREW IS DIFFERENT
Cold brew coffee is estimated to be 65–70% less acidic than hot-brewed coffee of equivalent strength. This is not a flavor difference — it is a chemical one. The specific organic acids that create harshness, bitterness, and the digestive response many coffee drinkers experience — primarily chlorogenic acids and their degradation products — require heat to extract from the coffee bean. Cold water, over its extended 12–24 hour extraction period, does not reach the temperature threshold required for efficient chlorogenic acid extraction.
The result: cold brew concentrate contains dramatically lower concentrations of these acids, producing a coffee experience that is simultaneously smoother to taste AND gentler on the digestive system. For the estimated 40% of coffee drinkers who report some degree of coffee-related digestive discomfort with hot coffee, cold brew is not just a preference — it is a physiological solution.
This is why cold brew is the fastest-growing coffee format in the United States. Not because it is a trend. Because it solves a real problem for a very large audience.
💡 STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
- Cold brew concentrate: store sealed in refrigerator for up to 14 days
- Undiluted concentrate maintains quality longer than diluted cold brew
- Always use clean utensils when dispensing from storage container
- Cold brew grounds: store unused grounds in sealed bag at room temperature
- Do not freeze brewed concentrate — texture and flavor degrade upon thawing
